On December 7th, the UC Berkeley Department of Anthropology and the Amah Mutsun Land Trust welcome our donors to an intimate conversation about the ways the Amah Mutsun are restoring indigenous stewardship to their ancestral lands.
At this special event, experts from UC Berkeley and from the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band will describe a unique collaboration that combines cutting-edge archaeological research with ancient methods of land stewardship to restore coastal prairie along the central coast of California. Guests will get a special look at our Native Stewardship Corps program and will see the powerful impact your donation is making on the lives and the lands of the Amah Mutsun people.
Native foods, provided by Cafe Ohlone, will be served. Guests will hear short presentations from Amah Mutsun Tribal Council Chair Valentin Lopez, UC Berkeley Professor Kent Lightfoot, AMLT Research Associate Rob Cuthrell, AMLT Executive Director EkOngKar Singh Khalsa, and AMLT Director of Programs and Development Sara French.
